Abstract

The article examines the effectiveness of the absorption bromistolithium refrigerating machine in an air conditioning system at a synthetic resin production facility using waste steam. The research demonstrates an energy assessment of the system, which proves the high efficiency of an absorption bromistolithium refrigerating machine by using secondary energy resources.

The paper examines the principal technological scheme, which includes a central air conditioner with a water air cooler and a steam air heater. The authors use methods of thermal and exergy analysis, as well as standard calculation methods for a single-stage absorption cycle for the energy assessment. It is established that chilled water, produced in the evaporator, maintains the required supply air temperature. The heat is removed from the condenser and the absorber by means of a cooling tower, which ensures a closed cycle of cooling water use. There are three main operating modes of the system: summer (cooling), winter (direct steam heating) and hybrid (dehumidification with subsequent heating). The obtained results confirm the high energy and environmental efficiency of using secondary energy resources for air conditioning needs in chemical enterprises.
